What is Language Arts?

The curriculum is designed to polish the basics skills that are necessary to excel in these examinations.

Reading comprehension:

1. Our materials are sourced from different countries, such as USA, UK, Canada,  and Singapore.    {Local materials will not be considered.}我們的材料來自不同的國家，如美國，英國，加拿大和新加坡。   {本地材料將不予考慮。
2. We focus on Main Idea, Compare and Contrast, Fact and Opinion, Context Clues and Inference. 我們專注於主要思想，比較和對比，事實和觀點，上下文線索和推理。
3. Besides our core materials, we also use magazines like Scientific American, BBC Knowledge, National Geographic, and Scientific Mind. 除了我們的核心材料外，我們還使用《科學美國人》、《BBC知識》、《國家地理》和《科學思維》等雜誌。

Proof Reading:

1. Proof Reading helps students to raise their awareness in writing. Students from DGS, MCS, St. Paul's Co-ed, La Salle, DBS, ST. Mary's, Good Hope, Singapore International and KGV are all benefiting through learning Proof Reading skills.   校對幫助學生提高他們的寫作意識。來自DGS/MCS/St. Paul's Co-ed/ La Salle/DBS/ ST. Mary's/Good Hope/Singapore International和KGV 等等學生都通過學習校對技能而受益。
2. By using the scaffolding method and systematic guidance, students are able to build their skills gradually, and we can also detect their mistakes and problems very easily. 

Prefix , Suffix  & Roots:

1. Learning new vocabularies has always been a challenge for most people. Instead of memorizing them letter by letter and word by word, we use a different approach. 學習新詞彙對大多數人來說一直是一個挑戰。我們沒有逐個字母和逐個單詞地記住它們，而是使用不同的方法。
2. Through studying prefix, suffix and the roots of words, students are more confident  to make wild guess on any word that they come across. 通過學習前綴，後綴和單詞的詞根，學生更有信心對他們遇到的任何單詞進行瘋狂的猜測。
